This blog will be about being addicted to something. Being
addicted to something can be a terrible thing. When you are addicted it pretty
much takes over your life. There are crazy amounts of things you can be
addicted to. The most common things people get addicted to are, drugs, alcohol,
cigarettes, dip, eating, sex, internet, shopping, coffee, and gambling. But
there are also a few weird and odd things that you can become addicted to, for
example, hording, lying, cleaning, tanning, drinking blood, eating hair, loud
music and so much more. The list can go on and on. There are so many television
shows about having addictions. True life, My Strange Addiction, and Intervention
are all examples of shows on television that show people’s life that have
addiction. When you are addicted to something it can be really hard to become
un-addicted. At first a person with an addiction will deny that they have an
addiction. When this happens you have to approach them cautiously and get them
to see how they are addicted to whatever they are addicted to. After you do
that you offer them help to get rid of their addiction. Hopefully they will
accept your offer and be calm about it. But that usually does not happen. Most
the time the person will freak out and deny, deny, deny until they can’t deny
anymore. Eventually they’ll have to listen and then they can get help. But if
you are the person with the addiction you need to be open to your many options.
Lets say you are addicted to smoking cigarettes. That is one disgusting habit,
and very unhealthy as well. You can try to get a substitute for cigarettes like
gum, chewing on a straw, or life savers. Of course there are many different
medication to quit smoking, but if you can do it an easier, and cheaper way, I
would advise you to do so. Addiction is a horrible feeling because you really
don’t have much control over it. If you or someone you know has an addiction, you
need to get them help or get help yourself. It is only for the best.
