We want to be treated our age. AA1

This blog will be about being treated like a little child when you are a young adult. Being treated like you are immature and can't handle things on your own is a horrible feeling. This often happens in high school mostly with seniors. You would think that if you are 17 and 18 years old, sometimes even 19 years old, you would be allowed to make your own decisions. For example, when you want to have lunch release, but you don't live a mile from the school. I believe that if you have a vehicle and are a senior and have decent grades that you should be able to have lunch release. The residence of a student isn't a student’s choice. They live where they live. Therefore why should they have less advantages of people who live closer to the school. That's just one example though. Another example is when you want to go to the bathroom, why must you have to ask the teacher if you are allowed to go? It doesn't make sense. If a person needs to use the restroom why should they need permission to do so. Also seniors want to make their schedules as easy and laid back as possible. If they have enough credits to graduate they shouldn't have to take pointless classes and have to focus on things that aren't going to help them in life. They should be able to take the classes they need and that's it. It gets really annoying when you are constantly told what to do and how to do it. Especially when you are clearly old enough to make your own decisions. Eventually maybe schools will be more laid back when it comes to those issues.  High school needs to prepare the students for the real world, not be a babysitter to them.
